FIRMWARE / OPEN SOURCE
From reset to running.
A simple bootloader for the Tiva C TM4C123G, an ARM Cortex-M4F microcontroller, using UART as its communication channel.
The context
A bootloader is the first piece of software a device encounters on its way to running an application. This project explores that boundary on a concrete microcontroller target.
What I worked on
- Built a bootloader targeting the Tiva C TM4C123G.
- Used UART as the communication channel.
- Published the C source for others to explore and build on.
The bigger picture
This project sits alongside my professional experience implementing automotive flashing sequences, boot managers, and bootloader security features.
